When do i start steaming for a Mr. Coffee Cappuccino maker?

I have a Mr. Coffee Cappuccino maker. I would like to know when can i start steaming because I never seen to have enough steam? Where should the espresso reeach on the decanter before I move the dial to steam?

The best way I’ve found, regardless of the brand of home espresso maker, is to avoid using the carafe. Place a demitasse or whatever else you’re drinking the espresso from directly under the filter holder and, when you have the appropriate amount of espresso, just switch it over. If you fill the carafe, you’ll end up with very weak, almost "americano"-like espresso.

If you need more steam, add extra water to the machine.
