How many table spoons of coffee in one espresso cup. ?

I’m talking about measurement table spoon. Cup of espresso is 8 oz. Thanks

hey doug a table spoon is really too inaccurate to measure something as fiddly and precise as espresso. we would suggest 8g per shot of coffee, although you will find some baristas overdose & use considerably more coffee than this, grinding more coarsely and packing the coffee in with very high tamp pressure (not advising that this is a gd idea, just some bkgrd).

My wife got an Espresso/Cappuccino maker. She loves White Chocolate mochas, anyone know how to make one?

2/3 cup whole milk (you can use any percent milk you prefer)
6 tablespoons white chocolate chips
2 shots espresso
whipped cream

Add milk and chocolate chips to saucepan and heat until chips are melted.
Meanwhile make coffee in espresso machine.
Pour a shot of espresso into each mug, then pour half the milk mixture into each coffee mug , add a dollop of whipped cream.
Enough for 2 small mugs or 1 large mug.

If your machine has a frothing/steam wand (which I gather it does, as you say it’s a cappuccino maker too and assuming you have all the needed equipment), then you can steam the milk in a metal steaming pitcher (aim for a temp of 140-160). and simply melt the chocolate ships in a microwave. (or, of course you can simply do it in a saucepan as this recipe says or you can microwave the milk and chocolate together until melted and at your preffered drinking temperature).

Years ago, when I worked as a barista at Starbucks, we used Ghiradelli white chocolate sauce and sometimes drizzled caramel sauce over the whipped cream. If you don’t want to buy white chocolate sauce, I recommend the above recipe as it’s an easy, close tasting version for the home coffee enthusiast :) I recommend buying Ghiradellis white chocolate chips, btw.
Hope this helps!

what is the best and most economic brang for an espresso maker? food?

I was looking at target.com and wal-mart for a decent espresso maker with or without a coffee make next to it, but must be with the thing that steams milk. any brand suggested?

my ideal price is under $100. $150 max.
i mistyped "brand". sorry abt that

So there is this product on the market made by Krupp’s. It’s less than $50 and does steam milk. The reason most of the espresso makers are so expensive, is that they use a pump to cram hot water through the coffee. This is the way coffee houses do it to increase production. The best espresso is made by heating water to a boiling point and forcing the steam through the coffee. It is slow but makes incredible espresso. My mom in law gave me one about 10 years ago. It has a broken handle but I use it all the time. There really isn’t a reason to buy one of the $300 makers unless you have a house full of people that all want espresso every day.
